Meadow Arts is delighted to announce Plate Up, an exhibition by artist Sarah Taylor Silverwood created in collaboration with young people from Pershore Riverside Youth Centre. The exhibition opened 10 February 2026 at National Trust Croome in Worcestershire and runs until 10 May 2026.

Plate Up brings together a series of vibrant ceramic plates and a community cookbook created by the artist and the young participants. Through creative workshops and cookery sessions the group explored how drawing, clay, printmaking and food connect in everyday life. The results reflect shared creative thinking and celebrate the youthful energy that informs this project.

Alongside these plates sits a new plate series by Sarah Taylor Silverwood, created to become part of the youth centre kitchen. Made to be used in cooking sessions, they will embed the project into the daily rhythms of the centre for years to come. This project builds on Sarah’s ongoing work with young people in Pershore. Previous collaborations include Wild Imagination, an animation project commissioned by Meadow Arts and National Trust Croome and co-produced with participants from Pershore High School and Pershore Riverside Youth Centre in response to the Pages from Nature programme. Plate Up marks the third time members of the youth centre have exhibited at Croome as part of this continuing partnership.

About the artist: 

Sarah Taylor Silverwood is an artist based in Birmingham whose drawing practice works across animation, illustration, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, objects for the home and public art. She combines her interest in making and storytelling by working collaboratively with others to challenge familiar forms of imagery and language. Her practice embraces new making techniques by experimenting with materials to develop the practical application of her drawing in response to the ideas, environments, objects and people she is working with.

About National Trust Croome:
Framed by the Malvern hills in Worcestershire, Croome is largely the 18th-century creation of George William Coventry, 6th Earl of Coventry and leading architects and designers Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown and Robert Adam. Later, Croome was an RAF station, a Catholic school and the UK headquarters of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Today, Croome is a testament to the genius and skill of its craftspeople, and a symbol of continuity and change.
