Learning & Engagement

Learning and engagement is central to all the work we do. We work with schools, groups and communities across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire, providing opportunities to creatively engage with contemporary visual art.

Our learning programme supports people to engage with the contemporary art exhibitions, projects, and events that we deliver. Based in communities, with groups, schools, families and young people, our engagement work uses creativity to explore important themes of our time (climate change, inclusion, diversity) as well as other ideas and issues in accessible and fun ways. We believe that everyone can enjoy being creative and everyone should have access to high quality artistic experiences.

Engagement activities are wide-ranging – from artist talks, curators tours and arts workshops (online and live) to school programmes, Arts Awards, masterclasses, and drop-in making sessions. All the engagement work we do is accessible to people of all ages and abilities and is led by fully qualified artists and creative practitioners within the communities where our artwork can be found and where participants live and work.
