Meadow Arts is thrilled to announce a new international partnership with CVAN England, CVAN West Midland with BBK Bayern (BBK Bavaria), supported by Arts Council England‘s International Programme.

Together, we are establishing a new residency exchange connecting artists and organisations across the Midlands and Bavaria, Germany. Rooted in a shared commitment to supporting creative practice in rural contexts, the programme will encourage international dialogue while creating opportunities for research, collaboration and exchange between artists, organisations and communities.

In summer 2027, we’ll welcome two artists from Bavaria for residencies in the West Midlands. In return, two Midlands-based artists will travel to Bavaria to take part in residency and professional development opportunities through BBK Bayern’s Mobile Atelier programme.

This partnership is rooted in a shared commitment to supporting artists working in rural places and exploring how art can deepen our understanding of landscape, place and community. Through international exchange, the residency programme will create opportunities for artists, organisations and communities to share ideas, learn from one another and develop new ways of working. By placing research, experimentation and collaboration at its heart, the programme recognises the value of residencies as spaces where creative practice can grow through curiosity, connection and time spent in the landscape.
