Creative Health in Herefordshire Arts Practitioner Network Sharing Series

Project Evaluation and Reflective Practice

Join us for a lunchtime sharing event for arts practitioners in Herefordshire as part of the Creative Health in Herefordshire Arts Practitioner Network Sharing Series.

Creative Health in Herefordshire Arts Practitioner Network Sharing Series is an informal sharing and networking event for artists and creative practitioners living and working in Herefordshire, with an interest in creative health and wellbeing practice.

For our fourth event in the series, we’re delighted to be collaborating with Our Place Leominster, with Dominic Harbour and Nicola Murray-Fagan joining us to explore themes of creative evaluation and reflective practice through an interactive and inclusive discussion.

Traditional evaluation often feels like a chore, with dry forms, boring surveys and rigid tick-boxes that can kill the creative momentum.

Curator Dominic Harbour and Community Project Manager Nicola Murray-Fagan will reflect on the ways that current Our Place Leominster artists are championing creative evaluation and reflective practice to drive continuous growth, support their own wellbeing and spark innovative breakthroughs in their projects.

Join us to consider how evaluation needn’t be a post-mortem autopsy of your work, but rather can offer a chance to be even more active and insightful, making evaluation an exciting extension of the creative process itself.

Whether you’re experienced in project evaluation or just beginning to explore how reflection can support your creative work, this session offers an opportunity to learn from others and consider new approaches to your own practice.

About the speakers:

Dominic Harbour is a curator, artist and arts administrator whose career includes strategic partnerships with major UK organisations including the National Health Service, National Lottery Heritage Fund, English Heritage, the Foreign Office and numerous national museums and galleries.  His work as a creative health curator with Paintings in Hospitals and Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust spearheads collaborative, community-led curation as the ultimate tool for cultural engagement and audience development. Since 2025 he has worked with the Our Place Leominster programme as Creative Curator, supporting individual projects and co-ordinating the 2026 and 2027 showcase exhibitions.

Nicola Murray-Fagan is Community Project Manager for Our Place Leominster, supporting the development and delivery of community-led creative health projects and working with artists, community organisations and local partners. She has experience of evaluation through Our Place and previous roles, with a particular interest in how it can support learning and help shape projects as they develop. She has also led the development of Creative Futures, a growing network for local creative practitioners.

This event is part of Our Place Golden Valley, which is a Meadow Arts project. It is part of the Our Place Herefordshire programme funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, with match funding from Herefordshire Council and Hereford City Council.
