Suzie Jones, Engagement Producer at Meadow Arts, joined Sarah Taylor Silverwood and Tara from Pershore Riverside Youth Centre, along with six young people, for a special visit to Croome. Guided by Jenine and Maya from the National Trust, the group explored Plate Up, created in collaboration between Sarah and the young people from the Youth Centre. They also revisited Wild Imagination, an animation project commissioned by Meadow Arts and National Trust Croome and co-produced with participants from Pershore High School and Pershore Riverside Youth Centre in response to the Pages from Nature programme at Croome.

The group shared lunch and made the most of the February sunshine outdoors. More young people will visit at a later date with their families, extending the experience beyond the gallery.

In the main exhibition space, pink walls present plates created by the young people and Riverside staff, while green walls display Sarah’s new works developed through the project. A structure built by Matt Moore anchors the exhibition and creates a strong architectural presence in the room. Nearby, Croome’s own Golden Box china display by Bouke de Vries, provides a thoughtful link with the exhibition. Throughout the day, visitors were drawn to the table installation, designing their own plates and adding to the evolving display.

Wild Imagination is now installed in one of the cellar rooms, where blue backlighting creates an intimate, cinema-like setting. Previously shown in the main gallery in 2024, its new location offers a fresh encounter for returning audiences.
