Kate Brookes & Bishop Perowne High School at St Swithun’s

2 min read

As part of the engagement activity related to our recent exhibition Watermark (28 January – 3 June 2023), Worcester-based artist Kate Brookes was commissioned by Meadow Arts to produce an artwork in collaboration with students from Bishop Perowne High School.

The tapestry is on display in St Swithun’s church in Worcester until 31 August 2023.

The sound and art project responded to the architecture and symbolism of the church, which is now used as an art centre. Kate worked closely with the students to produce an artwork. Printed onto fabric using digital methods, reflecting the space of St Swithun’s church and the history of Drapers and Draper’s merchants and the Georgian society St Swithun’s church once served.

Opening times vary and visitor information can be found on their website.
