Meadow Arts are proud to be supporting Herefordshire Council’s bid to become UK City of Culture 2029.

Herefordshire Council has launched a bold, county-wide partnership that brings together arts, culture and heritage organisations, creative businesses, community groups and public sector partners. Under the theme A Living Borderland, the bid celebrates our landscapes, communities and shared identity, showing how culture can thrive across a rural county.

If successful, the bid would bring high-quality arts and cultural activity to villages, towns and rural spaces, strengthen the £230m+ creative economy and support wellbeing across the county. It sets out an ambitious vision for artistic innovation, increased pride of place, new opportunities for visitors and employment, and a vibrant, connected cultural future for Herefordshire.
