People, Proposition, Place at The Weir Garden

We are pleased to announce a new collaboration with National Trust Herefordshire through the People, Proposition, Place project at The Weir Garden.

The project will engage the local community with the National Trust’s vision for The Weir Garden and seek to understand how people might like to use this outdoor space and the surrounding landscape in the future.

Visual artists, poets, and other creatives will lead community consultations, sparking conversations and reflections on The Weir Garden. Public events will include free artist-led workshops during the Summer of 2024 that will explore the project’s themes through artwork, poetry, walking, foraging, and other creative family-friendly activities.

Join us on this exciting journey as we help National Trust Herefordshire to shape the future of The Weir Garden. Follow our progress, engage in community events, and be part of the conversation.

The project is generously funded thanks to support from the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund. It will provide £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK by investing in communities and places and supporting local businesses, people, and skills.
