Artist Cordelia Cembrowicz‘s new artworks will be on display in the Golden Valley this summer, located at community venues in Pontrilas, Kingstone and Peterchurch.

As part of Our Place Golden Valley, a three-year Meadow Arts project, this artwork has been shaped by local voices, places and stories, and invites you to celebrate community, connection and creativity in the Golden Valley. Rooted in collaboration and conversation, the project explores what it means to belong in this beautiful corner of southwest Herefordshire.

In Year 1, November 2024, artist Cordelia Cembrowicz spent time with residents, volunteers and staff from community hubs across the valley, capturing portraits and gathering reflections that form the heart of the first commissioned artwork.

The work created last year inspired a series of workshops across the region earlier this year, where communities created new portraits and artworks of their own, mapping connections between people and place.

In Year 2, the project will build on the insights, ideas, and feedback gathered during the collaborative sessions from the first year. We can’t wait to share what’s next as we continue our co-creation journey in the Golden Valley.
