Looking forward

We have an exciting programme for 2023:

• At the end of January, Watermark will open in venues across Worcester, looking at water and flooding as environmental markers of climate change. Across the exhibition, we hope to draw parallels with and highlight the issue of flooding across the globe.
• Over the last year Juneau Projects have worked with young people from Pershore Riverside Centre to create a new public artwork for the people of Pershore, responding to Avon Meadows Community Wetlands. A project supported by Art Fund. Their sculptures will be unveiled in the new year.
• A new public art commission for Hereford to be revealed and exhibited at No.1 Station Approach – a project in partnership with Hereford College of Arts and supported by #StrongerHereford.
• Artist Leah Gordon will continue her work in Shropshire looking at how the historic Land Enclosure Acts still impact the land and its access today.
• Working with Leominster ROARs and local communities to explore the acclaimed 19th Century painter John Scarlett Davies, who grew up in the town.
• We’ll be exploring the varied trades that have historically worked across the small parish of Worcester St Swithun. A project with Culture Geek and St Swithun’s Church.

We currently have opportunities for you to help us with our work over 2023 and beyond:

Marketing & Communications Manager – We’re looking for a person who can raise the profile of Meadow Arts, get the most out of our digital platforms & respond to the needs of our audiences, stakeholders, and funders. You will develop, manage, and produce content for print, website and social media, using analytics to create marketing plans that are responsive and dynamic. Deadline: Friday 30 December 2022.

Volunteers – Creative Pathways in the Shire is a new scheme, produced by Ledbury Poetry, offering exciting volunteering opportunities in arts, culture and heritage across Herefordshire, including with us. Find out more and register your interest here.
