Youth Trustee: Gemma Moore
Gemma Moore graduated from the Hereford College of Arts with a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art and later pursued her Masters Degree in Fine Art at the Birmingham School of Art. Gemma’s art practice engages with feminist interests and lines of enquiry that tackle a variety of issues that affect women. Gemma uses a variety of mediums and processes such as abstract painting, sculpture performance and photography to challenge and raise awareness of these problems, including street safety, pyscho-geography and women’s internal perceptions of public spaces.
Gemma has just started a PhD in Dementia Studies and Fine Art Practices at the University of Worcester and is passionate about further deepening her understanding of how Fine Art contemporary drawing and painting practices can be used as a way of representing, raising awareness and researching how these processes can be embedded into Meeting Centre culture.
