Deborah Robinson

Deborah Robinson is currently Head of Exhibitions at The New Art Gallery Walsall. She has been responsible for the contemporary art programme since the opening of the gallery in 2000. She has curated many exhibitions, including solo shows by Mat Collishaw, Joana Vasconcelos and Idris Khan. Deborah frequently commissions new work and co-commissioned Zarina Bhimji’s film Yellow Patch (2012) which launched concurrently in London and Walsall. She leads on the delivery of Engine, a professional development programme for artists and curators in the West Midlands. The programme is delivered in partnership with New Art West Midlands. Deborah also serves on the NAWM Advisory Group and the Visual Arts Acquisitions Advisory Group for the British Council Collection.
