Meadow Arts is an inspirational contemporary visual arts charity delivering ambitious and accessible projects in unexpected, often rural places.

Born in a meadow in 2001, Meadow Arts has evolved to become an important part of the creative landscape across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire, collaborating with a variety of significant partners and host locations. Having no venue of its own, Meadow Arts works with highly regarded heritage buildings, historic sites, museums, universities, landscapes and public spaces.

Meadow Arts are creative, inspirational, collaborative, responsive and curious.

We use excellent contemporary art to encourage new ideas and expand horizons.

We place visual art in unexpected, often rural places, to reach audiences and engage participants.

We are dedicated to bringing high quality contemporary visual art to people in rural and unexpected places. We are committed to working in an environmentally responsible way and, drawing upon the beautiful landscape of our region, to realise projects that raise public awareness about climate change, loss of biodiversity and sustainability goals.

We work with our artists and partners to ensure best practice and use our artist commissioning check list to promote sustainability across all aspects of a project, ensuring that creativity and environmental responsibility work hand in hand.

Meadow Arts is small-scale arts charity, employing 5 members of staff. We have no venue or central office, so our carbon footprint is low: We actively aim to minimise negative environmental impacts. We are passionate about people and the planet and are steadfast in our commitment to put environmental responsibility at the heart of what we do.
