My Virtual Daughter: Indian girl, Italian paper, Pakistani silk

My Virtual Daughter began as a found photograph taken by an unknown itinerant Indian photographer, now in the collection of Delhi-based curator Satish Sharma. Positioned in one of Kedleston Hall’s opulent rooms, The Wardrobe, the image sat amongst the intimate ‘cabinet’ pictures as a melancholic meditation on lost identities, imagined histories and forgotten geographies.
